...is for the whole family, the extended family, grandparents, singles, and anyone else. The body of Christ coming together under one roof.

"The Wonder of Oneness"

• John 17: 20-21 "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me”.

Jesus prayed that we would know the Father as he knew the Father and that we would be one body.

• Eph 4: 4-6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

There is a great cry coming from our nation for families to have time together. In the midst of such busy lives we need to set aside time for ourselves, our children and young people, teaching them the way of the Lord.

In Malachi 4:5-6 we read of John's coming to prepare the way for Jesus,

"See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."

Our land needs redeeming. Let us do our part in preparing the way for our Lord and Saviour, through the blessing that family life can bring and enjoy the delight of worshipping our creator at the same time.

A few years ago as Wavemakers were about to lead the "all age worship" at Living Water, a picture was shared of a great wave of people coming over the hill..A multitude ecstatic in praise and adoration. The group was led by a child. In the front were the children, followed by the young people and then the adults.

Two years ago just as the Wavemakers building was flooded, someone shared a picture that they had from the Lord - a great wave, flooding out from the Wavemakers building and moving out across the showground. When they looked again they realised that the flood was children moving in the power of God across the camp gathering everyone in their path.

Have you ever been at one of those pivotal moments in history, when you feel that you are standing on the brink of a move of God's Spirit in an incredible way?

Imagine what it was like for the children of Israel as they began their journey through the desert, to be confronted by the sea in front of them and the sound of the Egyptian army behind them. Moses is lifting up his staff and about to strike the water. Only the people in the front could see what was happening, those at the back caught the ripples of talk and excitement as the message of the parting of the sea was relayed back through the crowd.

Here in East Anglia, a new thing is about to happen. A camp where the whole church family can worship and do things together. It is not happening somewhere else and we get to hear about it second hand, it is now and it is here. We have the opportunity to be in the forefront of what God is doing.

So don't wait to hear about it second hand, take the opportunity to be there at the beginning and share in what God is doing.

Jesus said "Whoever welcomes a little child welcomes me." As parents we have a responsibility to show our children the way. To lead them into all truth. To place them in the way of experiencing the things of God for themselves and to enable them to build a relationship with the creator of the universe. As we teach our children the truth, so the truth will set us free and our own relationship with God will be strengthened.

"For it is in giving that we receive and in dying to self that we are born to eternal life." Our children are a God given gift, let's help them at whatever age and stage they are in their development to reach their full potential in God. God knows the plans he has for each of us, including our children, plans to give us a future and a hope.(Jer 29:11-13)
